Curriculum

Our Curriculum

UM Academy is committed to providing its students with a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum alongside adhering to the National Curriculum.

At the Academy we aim to equip our students with a broad and balanced education in a caring and safe environment that will develop their academic skills.

To nurture in each child an Islamic personality and character which encourages good morals and manners in order that they may become good British citizens.

Enable pupils to distinguish between right and wrong and respect the law in order that they become responsible and productive citizens who will make a positive contribution to society.

We value the way in which all children are unique, and our curriculum promotes respect for the views of each individual child, as well as for people of all cultures.

We provide a high student to teacher ratio which ensures that all our students receive the highest attention and nurturing.

The curriculum consists of both activities within the school and out of school and so comprises of more than the formal programme of lessons.
